This Privacy Policy describes how Challengeer collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application. By using Challengeer, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your display name, username, profile picture (if you add one), and phone number. Your phone number is used to create and verify your account.
Contacts. If you allow it, we may use your device’s contacts to help you find friends who use Challengeer. We do not store your contacts’ phone numbers in a form that can be read. We use them only to suggest friends and do not use this information for any other purpose.
Activity. We keep information about your use of the app, such as challenges you join or complete, your activity streak, when you submit to challenges, and your interactions with other users (for example friends, friend requests, and messages).
Device information. So we can send you notifications and run the app properly, we may collect information about your device (such as device type and operating system) and your notification settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve Challengeer. This includes:
- Running the app (accounts, profiles, challenges, messages).
- Keeping you signed in and managing your account.
- Sending you notifications (for example about friend requests, challenges, and reminders).
- Helping you find and connect with friends.
- Storing and showing your profile picture and challenge photos.
- Keeping the app secure and working well.
4. Data Storage and Security
We store your information securely and take steps to protect it. Contact information from your address book is not stored in a readable form. Photos and other media are stored in a secure way and only used to provide the app. We limit who can access your data.
5. Third-Party Services
We use other companies to help us run the app (for example for sign-in, notifications, and storage). Those companies are required to protect your data and use it only as we instruct. Their own privacy terms apply to the services they provide.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You can view and update your profile (display name, username, profile picture) in the app. You can turn off notifications in your device or app settings, and you can revoke access to your contacts at any time in your device settings. If you would like to delete your account or ask us to delete or correct your data, please contact us and we will handle your request in line with the law.

We may share your information only in these situations:
- With other users — Your display name, username, profile picture, and activity (such as challenges and streaks) may be visible to people you interact with or who are in the same challenges.
- With service providers — We may share information with companies that help us operate the app (for example hosting and notifications), under agreements that protect your data.
- When required — We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our or others’ rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell your personal information.
8. Children
Challengeer is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy here and change the “Last updated” date. If you keep using the app after changes are posted, you are agreeing to the updated policy.
